I Agree: with creative business models...

I came across a company today that is doing the quality and type of work I want EPIC doing. The company's name is Box of Crayons...(they had me at crayons) and the company is made up of consultants, who help large companies revise the way "doing business" is viewed.

What most excited me about the consulting company was their values:

"Create Impact. Have Fun. Pursue Elegance. Tread Lightly. Be Generous."

I believe their focus on "Pursuing Elegance" most stired me. I want to produce works that are Elegant. Not just pretty and not overly stark, but Elegant. I hope one day people will look back and say EPIC was all of these things. And, today at least, I really hope they can define the work we do as Elegant.

That people will one day say more than Joe Jones did a good job playing a silly character or developing a cool graphic. But, rather they will say that EPIC helped create and impact, in a fun way, that EPIC's teams was generous with their creativity and knowledge, and maybe (if I'm lucky) people will also say. The designs EPIC made, the videos EPIC shot, were Elegant.


But, until we hit elegant, I do love the latest set of graphics we've created for Crossroads camp this summer. ;)
